With finals just around the corner, Amarillo College students are beginning to feel the pressure to do well and end classes on a high note. But their lives outside college don’t stop. Even if they are given so much to review, they say their brains sometimes feel like they are about to explode.

The end is nearing for some Amarillo College students: graduation. The walk across the stage May 16 will be the final step in what some say is a long and sometimes stressful journey.

Some students are excited to finally be receiving their degree, but others are nervous about their future.

Walker carries ‘Hours’

Hours was released December 13, 2013, nearly a month after the tragic death of Paul Walker. Many fans know him from the iconic The Fast and the Furious saga.

Aside from his undercover street-racer persona, Walker played gripping roles in the incredibly underrated suspense thrillers such as Joy Ride and Running Scared.

Stepping away from the books

Badgerama is a day when students get to take some time away from the books and those people who keep waking them up in class. There are games, food and every club supporting its cause. The band selected to play on this Badger-filled day was Nashville’s Mockingbird Sun.

Crank up the music

Amarillo College’s annual spring celebration, Badgerama, moved into Carter Fitness Center on the Washington Street Campus April 17 because of the weather.

Mockingbird Sun, a band out of Nashville, played for an audience of students as they ate barbecue and participated in games and other activities in keeping with this year’s “two-step” theme.
