Areas undergo complete renovations

So you might be asking yourself, what’s going on in the commons area?
A $3.85 million project is in progress on the Washington Street Campus. The first floor of the Lynn Library will be remodeled into a student commons area with a renovated Career Center, the second floor of the College Union Building will be completely refurbished, signs to help students find their way will be installed throughout the campus and the mall area between those two buildings will undergo a complete makeover.

The purpose of the renovations is to “create a safe, comfortable, inviting space … where students can stay and study, interact with faculty and be more engaged in college,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Robert Austin. The project started at the end of July and will go well into the fall semester. The board of regents approved the multimillion-dollar project at its January meeting.
