Ranger reporter, Shalyn Ralston gives Here Comes the Boom five stars.

Here Comes the Boom is a movie about biology teacher Scott Voss (Kevin James), who is trying to raise money for his school’s extracurricular activities by becoming a mixed martial arts fighter.
His fellow teacher, who is having a baby, is in danger of losing his job due to the lack of funds for the music class he has been teaching.
Everybody thinks Scott is crazy for doing mixed martial arts, especially the school nurse that he has a crush on.
If you like humorous movies, Here Comes the Boom is a great choice. You will find yourself laughing constantly throughout the movie.
The acting is great and will keep you interested, and it sends a great message to the audience.
All the actors seem perfect for their roles, and the scenes flow together well.
The film is uplifting and inspiring. It shows the audience that you can do anything you put your mind to if you care enough about what you are working toward.
James’ character, Scott, makes a great point when he says:
“If you don’t make an effort, nothing’s going to change.”
The story line is strong, and it isn’t just like every other fighting movie. It has more depth than just watching people run around and fight each other for no real purpose.
However, the fighting scenes are well played with good effects.
Going through the movie, you will see the actors portray a variety of emotions such as fear, courage, passion, excitement, love and ambition.
The movie keeps you guessing. You don’t know what will happen next, but I assure you that it will be enjoyable.
The rating on this movie is PG, so it’s a great movie to watch with the family or a group of friends.
I would recommend Here Comes the Boom to just about any audience, no matter what age they are.
Watch the movie to see whether Scott can make enough money to save the school’s extracurricular activities.
