This week’s MVP is No.11, Geraldo Prado. Prado is from Puerto Rico, and he is going D1 next year playing for The University of Oklahoma.

Eventually, Prado would like to go beyond college-level baseball. “My goal is to play in the MLB, and help people with needs. I just love helping people,” he said.

He wants to play for any team in the MLB. However, he does have his favorites. “I like Boston Red Socks. My favorite is Ronald Acuna Jr.”

Prado originally did not come from Puerto Rico to Amarillo and instead started elsewhere. “I was

in Florida my freshmen year, but my roommate contacted Coach Raines. Now I am here and Coach trusts my talent.” Prado is a returning Badger Baseball player and said he is team-focused. “I like to work with everyone.”

While Prado is in Texas, he attributes his successes to his family from Puerto Rico.
