In preparation for the upcoming fall semester, the longstanding tradition of Tuesday Bluesday, will kick off at AC with a big celebration.
To start off, the festivities will take place on Aug. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Clock Tower. There will be free swag, a photo booth, official Tuesday Bluesday t-shirts for sale and several spirit-themed challenges for students to participate in for a chance to win a Tuesday Bluesday giveaway bundle valued at over $500.
“I have actually never heard of it before,” Ainsley Osborne, education major said. “But, hearing about the event sounds really cool, especially all the cool events they are having. I definitely will be there and wearing blue.”
Tuesday Bluesday was originally created by the Student Life office in the fall of 2019 as a way to increase school spirit and celebrate all Badger students and their love for AC.
“I enjoy seeing everyone show their pride for AC on Tuesday Bluesday,” Shauna Jefferson, business administration said. “I’d like to see posters all over campus to remind people to wear blue on Tuesday.”
This school spirit day, which encourages students and faculty to sport attire that is blue or AC related, occurs every Tuesday of the school year.
“I think that any activity that connects the students or employees to the campus is important,” Jenna Welch, Student Life Coordinator said.
