Students and others with unanswered questions about Amarillo College: Look no further.
AskAC is a hub of information that can help with any questions related to AC: staff numbers, parking and anything else a student may be unsure about.
“We are the first contact for this institution, answering the questions that everyone asks,” said John Salazar, director of customer service.
Rita Olsen, a customer service technical specialist, said the purpose of the call center is to provide customer service for all departments.
“We are able to answer all basic questions,” said Olsen.
Based on the Washington Street Campus, AskAC consists of employees who know the ins and outs of the campuses. All students have to do is call or stop by the Student Service Center.
The service is not limited to the Washington Street Campus. LaRoyce McAdoo, a customer service associate on the West Campus, said even if a student asked for something as uncommon as turtle eggs, they’d be able to locate some, possibly with a little help from Google.
“AskAC is like a one-stop shop, and employees come for a variety of things,” McAdoo said.
Salazar agreed, comparing the center to a control tower at an airport, overseeing all things AC.
AskAC does more than just answer questions, employees said.
The center accepts applications and payments, gives directions and creates student IDs.
