Amarillo College has cancelled all classes for Feb. 25, 2013.
Students received an alert via phone call, text message and/or email from AC Alert at 10:27 p.m. stating, “This is Amarillo College. Due to the ongoing blizzard, all Amarillo College Campuses will be closed Monday, February 25th.”
In addition, as of 10:45 p.m., Amarillo Globe News has listed the following closures and delays:

Postponements:
- Spearman ISD, beginning classes at 10 a.m. Monday
- Schooler Funeral Home has postponed the following funeral services: Mr. Chrzanowski service originally scheduled for 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Mr. Cutrell’s service scheduled for 2 p.m. at Hillside South. New times will be announced when they are scheduled.
- The Brock McGuire Band concert has been rescheduled for Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at WTAMU’s Mary Moody Northern Hall

According to the National Weather Service, “Snowfall accumulations are forecast to range from 3 to 8 inches in the western Oklahoma panhandle and the northwest Texas panhandle to 8 to 18 inches elsewhere, with the highest totals anticipated to be across the northeast Texas panhandle. In addition, strong northerly winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 55 mph will create extremely dangerous travel conditions.”
