Amarillo College’s annual spring celebration, Badgerama, moved into Carter Fitness Center on the Washington Street Campus April 17 because of the weather.
Mockingbird Sun, a band out of Nashville, played for an audience of students as they ate barbecue and participated in games and other activities in keeping with this year’s “two-step” theme.
When Amarillo got its a public television station in 1988, it was known as KACV-TV.
The station underwent a rebranding recently, dropping the old title and emerging under the name Panhandle PBS.

Students have a voice on campus, and it can be heard through “BadgerBS.” “The name is a play on a more commonly recognized term, but in this case it stands for “Badger Banter Session.”
Quintin Marquez, senior video reporter and online editor, is host of the video show created by the Ranger staff. Topics are selected randomly from student submissions. A new episode debuts each Tuesday at www.acranger.com.
